Recovering from a gum surgery is very painful. I haven't been eating very much for almost 2 days now as I can only eat very small portions several times a day because of the discomfort chewing causes me. This experience made me cherish my blessings more and not to take things for granted. Yes, even the ability to eat is a blessing!
Haven't been making a lot of cards lately. I've been instead doing a lot of exploring new techniques on YouTube lately looking for new ideas for my cards. I don't like repetition, so I never make cards that are identical or mass produce my designs. I like to try new things all the time. I think it helps me improve my creativity and keep my designs from being boring.
A lot of my cards goes to Gather and Give, a Christian non profit charity organization that helps the poor around Metro Vancouver. They collect used kitchenware, bedding, towels and more for donation upon request and usually with their delivery, they would include a little "Welcome to your new home" handmade card along with some encouraging messages. If you're interested in being a part of it, please visit http://www.gatherandgive.org/

Graduation Card
I was my friend's convocation a couple days ago. To celebrate it, I've done something I'd always do... I made her a card to congratulate her.
I made the flower myself with some patterned paper. It's my first experiment, but it turned out pretty good. The base card (which you can't see) I used Recollection Kraft cardstock. All the patterned paper used in the card, including the flower is from the DCWV Hittin' the Books paper pack. I handwritten the "Let's celebrate your". The sticker that spell "graduation" and the little black button in the middle of the flower is from dollar store.
Today is me and my husband's first anniversary. I've made him a "never ending" card which symbolizes our never ending love. I don't have a photo as of yet to post (I didn't take one yet), but I'll have it up soon. Tutorial for the never ending card is all over YouTube, so I'm not sure who to give credit to.
Also, I've just found out recently that me and my husband got married just around our church's anniversary as well. Just came back from our 20th anniversary dinner. And guess what... They had it at the restaurant we had our banquet a year ago. What a coincidence.
